When you’re building a pondless waterfall, rain-harvesting system, or any hidden reservoir, size matters – but so does smart engineering. The AquaBlox Water Storage Module is purpose-built to displace more water in less space, delivering roughly 7.4 gallons of storage per cubic foot – over three times what gravel would give you.

Lightweight, modular and assembled with ease, these units reduce liner use, decrease excavation size, and let you build high-capacity reservoirs with minimal footprint. The structural top supports up to 5,472 pounds per square foot – meaning you can bury these modules under decks, patios or heavy stone covers and still maintain full performance.

Q: Why choose AquaBlox instead of filling with gravel?
A: Because they allow far greater storage per cubic foot – about 7.4 gal vs. ~2.2 gal with gravel. Less excavation, fewer materials, less liner required.

Q: Can I install these underneath a patio or driveway?
A: Yes – they’re engineered to support heavy loads (5,472 lb/ft²) and are frequently used under decks, stone patios and walkways.

Q: Are there different sizes or modules?
A: Yes — at least ‘Small’ (~17 gal) and ‘Large’ (~32 gal) modules standard, with stacking/row options to build larger volumes.

Q: How does this help me with evaporation and maintenance?
A: Because the modules hold more water in less space and use less liner surface area, they reduce the amount of water you need to top off and lower chances of clogging or sediment build-up versus gravel systems.
