Q: Do I still need rock and gravel?
A: Yes. You’ll need roughly 12-15 basketball-sized rocks and about four to six 50-lb bags of 1″-1½″ gravel to complete the rockscape around the spillway and basin.
Q: Is this kit fish-safe?
A: While the kit is intended for decorative waterfall/fountain use rather than traditional fish ponds, all included pump and liner materials are compatible with aquatic environments.

Dig your basin hole slightly deeper than the AquaBasin height and back-fill with compacted gravel for stability.
Use a layer of 1″-1½″ gravel around the spillway lip to reduce splash-off and tone the look with natural stone.
Ensure your pump intake is clear of debris and properly secured to avoid air intrusion which can mar waterfall performance.
Always keep a small access panel to the basin lid for pump maintenance—don’t bury it under immovable rock.
Buy a little extra liner and pipe; it’s better to have a foot or two of extra than to struggle with a tight fit under rock.
