Q: Is this fire pit kit suitable for wood-burning and/or gas?
A: Yes. The masonry block kit provides the structural containment. For gas applications, follow local code for burner installation, venting, and foundation. The vendor lists “fire pit kit” use for wood/entertaining.
Q: Do I need mortar under this block system?
A: The kit is designed for a stack-and-glue installation (mortar-free for the ring) according to the manufacturer instructions. Proper base preparation is still critical.
Q: How much space do I need around the pit for seating and clearance?
A: While specifics depend on your local code, leave at least 3′-4′ clearance from combustibles and provide adequate base/footing per job conditions. Consult our American Stone team for site-specific planning.
